Bletchley Park 'falling apart'

THE Bletchley Park codebreaking centre which helped win the Second World War is in a "terrible state of disrepair" because of a lack of investment, experts claim.
They say that unless the government steps in to help, the site, which also housed the first computer, may be beyond repair.

History seems to forget that, at the end of the war, it was the UK government that destroyed the "Bomb" and tried to eradicate all traces of Station X at Bletchley.

The fact that thousands - possibly tens of thousands - of personnel involved over the period kept the whole thing secret for a further quarter of a century must surely be the true miracle of Bletchley and is a massive tribute to that generation.

I can't believe that the gov't. hasn't done a thing to preserve Bletchley. My dad and uncles fought in that war and I am sure lots of lives were saved by those hard working people who broke the code. One would think that it would be a valuable lesson to all who wondered about that awful war (those who are too young to know or remember). I will gladly sign your petition, number 2.
