Putin: Stop naming streets after me

THE Russian prime minister, Vladimir Putin, has said he wishes officials would stop naming streets and erecting statues in his honour – the Chechnya region is the latest to name a street after him.
Critics have accused officials of trying to create a Soviet-style cult of personality around the former president.
