Classic Proofreaderless Scotsman Headline:
"58% of women worry about bearing flesh"

Have they given up on motherhood then? What percentage of women are worried about baring flesh?

Mind you it could be a lot that they're carrying around.

But despite the obvious spelling error, note that a majority are somewhat worried (to what extent) about showing their bits, but it hasn't put them off actually going on holiday - only 2% didn't go.

Anyway Women DO Like "showing the flesh", but they have to be told, they look great first, before they have loads of confidence, to 'go-out' to expose themselves.

"58% OF WOMEN WORRY ABOUT BEARING FLESH"

E D I T O R!!!!!

Your idiot headliners have done it again! The word (as pointed out by #9) is BARING!

According to dictionaries ....

Bearing may refer to:
Bearing (navigation), a term for direction
Bearing (mechanical), a component that separates moving parts and takes a load.

BUT

Baring means ...
- the removal of covering
denudation, husking, stripping, uncovering
remotion, removal - the act of removing; "he had surgery for the removal of a malignancy"
disforestation, deforestation - the removal of trees
cornhusking - the act of removing the husks from ears of corn.

The continuing lowering of standards at the Hootsmon goes on. 30 years ago, there would've been hundreds of LoCs over that!

Boy Wonder

I also noticed that error in spelling or usage or whatever of "baring" and "bearing".

Do they have any competent proofreaders at the Scotsman?

Some women should NEVER bare their flesh, especially if they weight 250 pounds or more and have pendulous dugs that droop to their waist.

Yeccch.

In my, somewhat ancient dictionary, the phrase "to bear" means to carry, to wear, to show or display (as in armorial bearings). Maybe (just maybe) the Scotsman's writers were having a little play on words.

#13. Unfortunately, a few fat German wimmin insist on showing us their droopy pendulums whether we like it or not. And with black forests escaping from their armpits it's enough to make you throw up your San Miguel.
