TRIBUTES were paid yesterday at the funeral of two sisters killed in a car crash.
The Auld Kirk in the Banffshire village of Cullen was close to full as people paid their last respects to Rachel Putnam, 20, and her sister Elena, 18, who were both students of Glasgow University.

They died on 14 July, when the car they were travelling in was in a head-on collision with a van in Aberdeenshire.

The car's driver, Mark Gardiner, 22, Rachel's boyfriend, was also killed. His funeral was in Buckie on Tuesday.
