Boumsong called into French squad

UNCAPPED Rennes striker Jimmy Briand and central defender Jean-Alain Boumsong have been called into the France squad for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Romania.
Briand and Boumsong will arrive at France's Clairefontaine training camp today. Boumsong earned his 24th cap as a substitute in the 2-0 loss to Italy at the European Championship in June.
