Published Date: 14 April 2008
AN MP yesterday called for Michael Martin, the House of Commons Speaker, to quit over the parliamentary expenses row – the first to make such public criticism.
Conservative MP Douglas Carswell said Mr Martin should set a date for his departure and be replaced by someone "who understands that there is a problem with Westminster politics".

Many MPs are thought to be privately unhappy with the way the furore over MPs' claims has been handled by the authorities in the wake of the Derek Conway scandal.

Words you are unlikely to hear from the high spending Speaker......

"I call the honourable Douglas Carswell to speak" !

Well done Mr Carswell for putting on record what many of your less courageous colleagues are whispering in the corridors of the Palace of Westminster.

What is even more appalling than the Fraudulent activity that has resulted in Martin being paid, year on year for many years for a non-existent mortgage and to hear from the authorities that it is within the rules!

As it seems, this disgusting, shameful, arrogant and cheating MP cannot be 'outed' from his position - seemingly no matter what, if it's not his choice to go, simply shows what a den of corruption and self protection the whole 'House of Commons really is!!

The only answer is to 'boot out' the whole caboodle!!

Fair go people. Gorbals Mick is a member of the New Labour Sleaze and Corruption Party, and he's only doing what comes naturally to his Party, that is ripping off the taxpayer to line their own pockets.

Let's face it even Maggie Broon is ripping off the taxpayer by claiming things like his dry cleaning bills, utility bills, and claiming for a second house when he, like Gorbals Mick, has a house for free in London, courtesy of the taxpayer.

They also claim for things like groceries, make-up, taxis for the wife to go shopping, and TV licences (which is why none of them support scrapping the iniquitous television tax, as they all get it paid for them by the taxpayer), and who knows what else. That's why they want to keep their expenses claims secret.

So, we shouldn't really be picking on this poor man for doing what comes naturally. We should, however, be picking on every last one of the New Labour Sleaze and Corruption Party, and getting rid of the lot of them. Their picking of the public purse should also be brought out into the light of day so that we can all see what utter cheats, crooks and liars they all are.

As the 'Authorities' in all this 'cheating' seem to consider it's all 'within the rules' or due to 'mis-understanding / mis-interpretation of them, it does seem the whole caboodle of personnel - and the rules are in collusion for this cheating (otherwise it should be possible!)and the system is well organised and run very smoothly primarily, but essentially for the intended purpose, and as it seems all will be declared as OK and without anyone being 'hauled before a Judge!'
