Winterton takes pensions

ROSIE Winterton has been appointed pensions minister in the government reshuffle. She replaces Mike O'Brien, who moves to the climate change and energy department after just over a year in the post.
Winterton takes on the role as the pensions bill passes through its final stages, returning to the House of Lords today for its report stage. "The new minister may find she has been given the political equivalent of a hospital pass," said Tom McPhail of Hargreaves Lansdown.
