How refreshing to read Bill Jamieson's "Vicious circle leading straight to Banking Bedlam" (Debate & Opinion, 3 October) – as always, enlightenment and amusement among confusion. Here's a thought: why not appoint Lochearnhead Post Office as the UK's central bank, with Bill and Postmaster Richard being appointed as governor and chief executive respectively.
