WORKERS in the north of Scotland have among the highest levels of job satisfaction in Britain, a survey has revealed.
The study found that while nearly three-quarters of UK workers want to change careers, 55 per cent of workers in the north of Scotland were happy where they work.
They were just pipped to the top spot by workers in Yorkshire, who recorded the country's highest rates of satisfaction with their current jobs.
The findings were revealed in a poll carried out by YouGov for Lifelong Learning UK.
The study of 2,000 people across Britain revealed that 71 per cent of working adults think about changing their chosen career at least once a year.
One in ten respondents said they would make a resolution at the start of 2008 to move on to pastures new.
Nearly nine out of ten of those surveyed in the West Country said they had thought about changing their career in the past year.
