NEW recruit Warren Feeney scored a hat-trick as Dundee United ran out resounding winners at Stark's Park. The on-loan Cardiff City striker caused Raith's defence all sorts of problems and he scored each of his side's first three goals. Noel Hunt comp
leted the scoring against a Rovers side that barely threatened.
Meanwhile, a Dundee United XI, which included striker Jon Daly, also scored four goals in Fife on Saturday, as they beat Cowdenbeath 4-2.

Wolves 1DUNDEE suffered their first defeat of pre-season after a last-minute goal from Wolves' Sylvan Ebanks-Blake yesterday. A disappointing game looked to be petering out to a stalemate but a series of defensive mistakes allowed the Englishman to score a late winner. The hosts fielded Jim Lauchlan, who signed a one-year deal prior to kick-off, as well as former Rangers midfielder Makhtar N'Diaye, who joined goalkeeper Rab Douglas in being listed as a trialist.

Sunderland XI 3HIGHLY-RATED teenager Martyn Waghorn scored twice as a youthful Sunderland side eased to victory at Gayfield. Waghorn, who faced Manchester United last season aged just 17, opened the scoring before Bryan Scott levelled for the hosts. Further goals from Waghorn and Jordan Cook sealed the win for Roy Keane's youngsters. Arbroath manager John McGlashan said: "In a few years' time my lads will watch Match of the Day and say: 'I played against that boy'. That's the kind of test this game was. We have to take heart from it."
