I'm not an SNP supporter, but people like David Rosewarne (Letters, 13 October), with his peculiar views on the banking crisis, might just turn me into one. The Scottish banks have not been "rescued by England", Mr Rosewarne, but by the UK taxpayer, of whom there are plenty in Scotland.

I used to vote Labour but switched to SNP last May. Labour's negative attitude to Scotland and recent events surrounding our two Banks has strengthened my support for SNP.

Afterall it was Gordon Brown's lax regulations and economic policies that steered us onto this iceberg.
