The summer transfer window is always an intriguing time in Scottish football due to contract situations and what seems a constant churn of players as individuals are largely not given long-term deals. There are more than 100 players in the Ladbrokes Premiership who are out of contract at the end of the current campaign.
CIES Football Observatory have researched clubs from 87 top divisions worldwide and the number of players fielded in domestic league matches since January 2015.
