The release of the new home kit for the coming season. It is a cornerstone of a football club's summer, especially with social media. The shirt which the team will wear for the next 10 or so months is unveiled, often with a stylish video or photo shoot, whereby fans passionately offer their opinion. It usually ranges from ‘how can I give the club all my money’ to a torrent of abuse.
We have tasked the man behind AET Shirts and Football Kit Con which is coming to Murrayfield on 30 May, 2021, to provide his opinion on all 12 home kits, rating them out of 10.

1. St Johnstone 5.5/10
Whilst very modern and simple, not much going on with the Saints Kit. Not anywhere near the others but the badge behind the badge is a really nice touch. Very safe option for a home kit. Photo: SNS Group - Ross Parker
2. Livingston 6/10
A little too close to last year's strip with not much changing. Subtle pattern through it adds to the 2 tone shirt and the nod to key workers is a nice touch from the club, just enough to keep it off the bottom. Photo: SNS Group - Alan Harvey
3. Dundee Utd 6.5/10
The Arabs keeping the strong orange home kit and who can blame them? Lovely orange and black kit from Macron. Sponsors all round keeping in line with the black trim which keeps it very stylish. Little on the plain side but, very solid looking kit. Photo: SNS Group
4. Hamilton 6.5/10
Another nice Adidas design with a safe option for Hamilton. Kept the red and white stripes for tradition with a very nice collar. Sponsor adds to the kit, nice but a little off some of the other kits. Photo: Eddie Cocozza/Hamilton Accies
