Lennon has made a strong start to life as manager at Bolton after taking over in mid-October. The Trotters have only lost twice in their last 10 games, following a run of five straight defeats prior to Lennon’s arrival, and are now outside of the relegation places.
However, Lennon will still be concerned over a lack of attacking firepower since Bolton have failed to score in each of their last two matches and have only netted twice in their last four.
In addition to Templeton, Lennon is still interested in taking Celtic star Kris Commons to Lancashire. The attacker thrived under Lennon at Celtic and his future in Glasgow’s East End is in serious doubt after recently rejecting a new contract offer.
Meanwhile, Celtic face increased competition in their chase of Dundee United starlet Stuart Armstrong after West Bromich Albion were said to have sent scouts to watch the young midfielder.
