Residents face bills for landslide work
RESIDENTS in coastal communities at risk of landslides could be asked to help pay for work to protect their homes, it emerged yesterday.
The warning comes as Aberdeenshire council continues to monitor the cliffs around the village of Pennan following a further landslip.
Debris from the Pennan landslip this week landed perilously close to homes.

Hide AdNo-one was injured, but council bosses urged residents to avoid the area because of further risks.
They also warned that homeowners may have to pay for repairs.
A council spokesman said: "The slip is not on land owned by the council."
